We’re a mother-and-son team on a mission to help you walk your way to better health! And this is just a little about us and who we are.
Caroline is a former registered nurse who has worked in public health for many years. “I’m really passionate about helping people live their healthiest lives, especially as people age. I’ve seen first-hand the benefits of the simplest form of exercise: walking. The benefits are huge. An aspect of my role involved undertaking health assessments on people of all ages, and I found those who regularly went for a walk were some of the healthiest people I encountered with positive outlooks on life. The science also backs this up, and we aim to educate and encourage through this platform. One elderly lady was not confident enough to walk in her neighborhood, so I encouraged her to walk around her local shopping center. She started doing that and reported back that she had encouraged a friend to join her, and they were doing it regularly. Additionally, I’ve witnessed a man’s mental health significantly improve within weeks after he was encouraged to start walking regularly. I feel passionately that walking is a very easy way for anyone to start improving their health and wellness.” Please note: I am no longer a registered nurse.
